Increase website traffic through RSS subscription

RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a common method to drive traffic to your website nowadays. It syndicates the same content as published in the subscribed website in a really simple format, namely removing the extra widget/ads/add on as shown on that website, only remaining the text and the image/video embedded in the post. It will show the readers to read only the true content of the website.

The main purpose of this RSS is to keep the existing reader coming back to visit your new content upon publishing. This method will normally create a substantial amount of reader to your blog providing you keep updating your blog with useful content! However, the minus point of the RSS is your Google adsense or other banner/text display advertisement will not be clicked through by the subscriber because it will not be shown in the RSS content delivered to the subscriber.

One way to improve your RSS visibility is to use bigger and clearer RSS subscription icon, you can get lots of nicely designed RSS icon for free here. It includes the RSS subscription icon I am using in this website.

Besides providing a big and clear RSS icon in your website, it’s good to embed your RSS subscription reminder through subscribe remind at the end of every post I am using this cool feature in this website as well. If you notice, there is a sentence of reminder saying “if you enjoyed this post, make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed!” where by my RSS subscription link has been hyperlinked together.

Make sure you utilize both of these resources in order to create more RSS subscriber and increase your website traffic!
